Doing life together
You know life is tough, but you’ve got a feeling that there’s something missing from yours. Maybe experiences have left you with more questions than answers. But you can’t shake this nagging sense that you’re looking for a place to belong. For a lot of people, church is a place they’ve never been, or haven’t been in some time. If you’re curious about how life could be different, but hesitant to commit — our church is the place for you.
A community that’s been through life’s ups and downs
A body that listens and cares
Collective Congregation
March 2026 Board of Trustees Meeting
A motion was made that we continue combined services for a period of 2 years or until Pastor Jim is no longer the Pastor of our church.
Motion carried.
The following service, March 15th, 2026, after announcing the above, members of both churches had observed a piece in The Upper Rooms and suggested it also be shared. The following was shared with the congregation:
Where there is no vision, the people perish,
but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
- Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
A Powerful Vision
"----
In our small rural community, two churches were struggling with declining attendance and aging congregations. Rather than succumb to despair, the leaders of the churches united and crafted a shared vision to uplift Christ in our community.
Our church leaders understood the power of a shared vision. Over the next five years, through diligent prayer, meticulous planning, and unwavering perseverance, we worked to bring their vision to fruition. The journey was riddled with challenges and demanded sacrifices from both congregations. However, our faith and commitment to a unified vision propelled us forward.
Today, our merged church is thriving. Our new, shared building serves as a place of worship and as a hub for outreach ministries. We host sports programs, support groups, weddings, and wakes, fostering a tighter bond within our community during times of both joy and sorrow.
Throughout this transformative journey, we've witnessed Proverbs 29:18 in action. By adhering to our vision and following God's guidance, we've built a church that is flourishing as a beacon of hope and support for our community.
